ABC Identity of the Month
Did you know that an ABC personality once read the news with a bat under his jacket? Or that another could memorise entire rugby league football matches and then would later do a blow-by-blow commentary of the game?
Each month, Late Afternoons gives you the chance to pry into the off-screen and off-air lives of your favourite ABC personalities.
This month's identity is ABC TV's Trevor Chappell (left). Not the controversial cricketer (though he is a distant relative), but the ABC's very own Overnights presenter.

Possibly because he challenged the idea that radio at night was to help people wind down and put them to sleep. Instead, he designed a show that keeps everyone wide awake and listening into the wee hours.
